Born in Ireland; died c. 655. Saint Mauguille, as he is known among the
French, was an Irish monk, disciple, and confidant of
Saint Fursey (f.d. January 16).
After living some years at Saint-Riquier Abbey,
Mauguille and Saint Vulgan (Pulcan?) became hermits near Monstrelet in
Picardy, where Mauguille died
(Benedictines).
